Otter Lake Provincial Park

Our shakedown trip on June 12-14 was to Otter Lake Provincial Park, just north of Princeton BC got off to a slow start as we sat in traffic for 2.5 hours between Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

Once we finally arrived, though, it was all worth the effort.

Revi has found his place in Harvey, tucked on his new blanket and wedged between the two front seats.

It was surprisingly chilly. We were all glad to have our winter puffy jackets and toques!

Despite the cold, the brave children still went swimming. And not just for a quick dip - there was actual floating around in the water!

All in all, it was a great test weekend. We figured out a few systems, set the smoke alarm off several times (it's SUPER sensitive) and slept very well in our cosy beds. We discovered a few key gear items we needed (with enough time to order them off Amazon) but mostly felt good about all the organizing done thus far.
