Queen Elizabeth Park

On June 30th, 2020 we officially moved into Harvey. The last box was packed, the storeroom stuffed and the house rented. We spent our first two nights parked beside Queen Elizabeth Park, one of Vancouver's largest parks that happens to be very central and only a few blocks away from our house (which made the final logistics of moving out/in a little easier).

We're officially homeless!

Our "boondocking" spot for the first two nights.

Other than logistics, our other reason for spending two nights here was to have a farewell party. With COVID restrictions preventing a proper one though, we opted for an all day, open house, show up when you can kind of affair. Other than the rain, it worked out beautifully with a constant stream of friends coming by all afternoon and into the evening. And Harvey was officially christened with a can of Molson Canadian, of course.

The Molson Canadian has been well shaken and is ready to pour over Harvey's hood.

Harvey is now ready to start his cross country adventures!

We had one final goodbye before we hit the road the next morning. We needed to say farewell to Nana (Andrew's 98 year old grandmother).

And with that, we were finally on our way!
